I am a very nature-loving, creative person, educated hairdresser and at the age of 16 I fulfilled my dream from my first own wage - buying a sewing machine - on which I have been pursuing my hobby with great passion for 34 years.
As the mother of two grown-up children, I have always enjoyed sewing a lot. First for my children, but also gifts for family and friends, such as personalized towels. Later I sewed everything that can be made with fabric.
In recent years I made a lot of typical Bavarian "dirndls" and traditional costumes, using traditional craft techniques. In 2020 something unusual was added due to Covid19 - surgical gowns for the hospital and many, many hundreds of masks.
Since I'm now a proud grandma, I start again - I sew for little "earth dwarfs". For the birth of our first grandchild - our "frog" child - of course, something self-sewn had to be found - a frog prince. Because the family name is our program.
But it did not stop with a frog. There were cuddle toys, comforters, crawling blankets, bed snakes, baby blankets and much more. Countless ideas need to be implemented.
I have started to sew products made of high quality materials in order to add applications and elaborate freehand embroidery.
Freehand embroidery is like painting on a sewing machine. Individual and personal - unique, like you and me.
In general, I attach great importance to high-quality materials and sustainability. That is why all the fabrics I use are certified at least according to the OEKO-TEX® standard or they are organic fabrics with GOTS certification.
In contrast to cotton, linen is antibacterial and dirt-repellent. Linen is naturally germicidal and hygienic. The material even neutralizes odors. Linen is also hypoallergenic and is therefore ideal for allergy sufferers and sensitive skin.
But what would I be without my great team in the background of my family.

When I dealt more intensively with the sewing topic "children", I noticed that many things are similar today.
Programmable embroidery sewing machines embroider and sew independently and perfectly using purchased files. But it is precisely this machine equality that irritates me.
I miss something. I'm missing a little "heart and soul". By this I mean the individuality and personal signature that you bring to your work. I am a passionate craftsman and would find it a shame if my craftsmanship and creativity were lost through replacement with machines.
Here I am now and with "Froschkindl" I would like to put the craft with my sewing projects in the foreground. I therefore design and draw all templates, stencils and lettering for my application pictures exclusively by hand and I also like to sew with needle and thread. Because for me hand-made also means 100% hand-made.
